Dr Pikli Brown is a qualified general surgeon. She holds operating privileges at the Mount Private Hospital and Sundew Day Surgery (Joondalup).

Pikli completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of NSW with honours and was subsequently appointed as a conjoint lecturer with UNSW. Dr Brown then attained her higher degree of Masters of Surgery (Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery) through the University of Sydney.

After completion of general surgical training in Sydney, Dr Pikli Brown was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Dr Brown then completed general surgical fellowship in rural NSW. She subsequently undertook further post-fellowship training at Joondalup Health Campus. Dr Brown’s prior academic portfolio included Deputy Domain chair of Communication and Clinical Practice with the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle) School of Medicine.

As a female general surgeon, Pikli is conscious of women’s health concerns and aims to prioritise overall health and comorbidity reduction. She prides herself on active collaboration with patients, their families and referrers.

Dr Brown lives locally in the Northern suburbs of Perth with her husband and daughter. She finds motherhood and medicine keep her very busy.
